Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how YH Inc., operating as YH Media (“YH Media”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit yh.media, contact us, sign up for text messages or work with us. We are based in Ontario, Canada and work with clients across the United States and Canada.

- Contact details: name, email address, company or website, and channel links
- Your mobile phone number, if you choose to provide it
- Your text message consent choices, including the date, time and method of consent (web form or phone call)
- What you tell us about your project, budget range or content
- Anything you send us by email, text or phone
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit. Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are delivered. We don’t currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry, schedule calls and send appointment reminders
- To provide, manage and report on the services you hire us for
- To send marketing emails or texts, but only if you have agreed to receive them
- To keep records of your consent and opt-out requests
- To run, secure and improve our website
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
Text messaging (SMS)
YH Media sends text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. There are two kinds of text messages, and you can agree to either, both or neither:
- Inquiry and scheduling texts: replies to your inquiry, call scheduling, appointment reminders and follow-ups about your project.
- Marketing texts: agency news, offers and new work, up to 4 messages a month.
You can opt in by ticking the text message box on our website contact form, or by giving verbal consent to a member of our team on a call. Consent is never a condition of doing business with us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. After you opt out, you’ll receive one final message confirming it.
We never share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy.
We use our messaging provider and wireless carriers only to deliver the texts you asked for. They may not use your information for any other purpose. See our Terms & Conditions for the full text messaging terms.
How we share information
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, scheduling, file storage and our text messaging provider. They may only use it to provide services to us.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect our rights, our clients or the public.
- Business transfers: if YH Media is merged or sold, the information would transfer under the same protections.
None of the above includes text messaging originator opt-in data or consent, which is never shared with third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as it’s useful for replying to you and managing our relationship, and client records for as long as tax and legal rules require. We keep a record of text message consent and opt-outs for at least five years so we can respect your choices and show that we did.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 30 days.
- Canada: we handle personal information in line with PIPEDA and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
- United States: residents of states with privacy laws, including California, can make the requests above. We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To stop text messages, reply STOP. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email.
Security and storage
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. Our service providers may store information in Canada or the United States, and it may be subject to the laws of those countries.
Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and our text messages are only for people 18 or older.
